The majority of licences in question are set to expire in December 2015.DoT says it’s preparing the auction process now so companies have plenty of time to  adjust their business plansThe communications ministry, reports the Economic Times, will kick-off the auction process by asking advice from TRAI, India’s telecoms regulator, on the recommended reserve prices for the 900MHz and 1.8GHz wireless frequencies on offer.In the auction of 900MHz and 1.8GHz spectrum, concluded in February, operators pledged nearly $10 billion.A total of 184MHz in the 900MHz band is up for grabs in the latest auction, while 27.8MHz is available at 1.8GHz.As many as 29 mobile licences are up for renewal between December 2015 and April 2016.A senior DoT official, cited by the Economic Times, said no date had been set for the auction.
